Advertising Technology On Our Public Pages

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our public marketing pages only — our homepage, About, Pricing, FAQ, this page, and the consultation selection page. It helps us understand whether our advertising is working.

The general categories of information collected are limited to page views, browser and device information, general location derived from your IP address, and cookie identifiers. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, addresses, Medicare details, patient identifiers, form contents, health conditions, medications or treatment information to Meta — hashed or otherwise.

Where Tracking Never Runs

Advertising tracking is not loaded at all on the patient portal, account creation, intake and consultation forms, appointment management, prescriptions, health records, payment pages tied to a consultation, or any clinical system interface. Moving from a marketing page into any of these areas fully removes the advertising script and its cookies before the page loads.

Overseas Processing

Meta Platforms processes advertising measurement data outside Australia, including in the United States. By accepting advertising cookies you consent to this overseas disclosure under Australian Privacy Principle 8. Your clinical and health information is stored in our secure backend infrastructure (hosted in Singapore by Lovable Cloud) and is never disclosed to Meta.

Retention

We keep clinical records for at least 7 years after the last entry to meet State and Territory health records legislation. Audit logs are retained for at least 7 years to support Notifiable Data Breach scheme investigations. Booking and marketing-contact records are reviewed regularly and de-identified or deleted when no longer needed or when consent is withdrawn.

Access, Correction and Deletion

You can update much of your personal information directly in the patient portal under Profile and Health Record. For formal access, correction or deletion requests, use the Data Request page inside the portal after signing in. We will respond within 30 days wherever practicable.

Marketing and Unsubscribe

We do not operate a marketing email list. Email sent from bookings@botanist.healthcare is transactional only — booking confirmations, reminders and related account notifications. If we ever start a marketing list, every message will include an unsubscribe link and you can also opt out through the patient portal.

Your Choice

Advertising cookies are off until you opt in. You can change your preference at any time below. Declining has no effect on your access to consultations, prescriptions or any other service.
